17% of all GCSE grades were A*-A and our student progress was something to be proud of for both the school and the individuals concerned;  34% of our pupils made progress which delivered on average across their 8 best  grades at least 1 whole grade higher than students of their entry profile did nationally last year in other schools. 30% of the cohort achieved the ‘EBacc’ suite of subjects and 64% achieved 5 or more A*-C grades. This attainment has derived the school a provisional P8 score of +0.26, putting us in the top 30% of schools which really demonstrates how well our pupils have done. This means that compared to children of their ability nationally, they have achieved as well in all their subjects and on average a whole grade higher in ¼ of the subjects they studied.Prendergast Vale students are celebrating GCSE success on publication of the 2016 results with 80% of students achieving A*-C in English; 61% A*-C in Maths and 59% securing A*-C grades in both English and Maths.

These results reflect great commitment and hard work on the part of the students with expert guidance and support from our dedicated staff and valuable support from parents and carers.  We congratulate all students on their achievements and wish them well in the next phase of their education.
