Year 11 GCSE Results are in!

The Head and Staff at Prendergast Vale School are delighted to announce their excellent first set of GCSE Results.

Prendergast Vale Students have achieved 59% A* - C, the new measure for student performance in England. The average GCSE grade across the student body is C. This is an excellent result, likely to be above the national average and means that many students will be successful in securing A Level places. This also means students made excellent progress during their time at the school.

30% of students secured A*/C grades in the EBACC measure which is significantly in advance of last year’s national average. 13% of all students achieved 5A*/A or better.

There were excellent results by individual students: Wilfie Brooke: 11A*/A, Callum Jones and Jude Todd- Earlam: 10A*/A; Saffron Burton and Brilyn Bangura: 9A*/A: Arida Alaj, Howie Dickson and David Oyedepo 8A*/A: Lily Kok-Balmer;  6A*/A’s. A* - C grade.

The English results were tremendous with 79% of students achieving a A* - C grade. History achieved 70% A* - C grade and Maths achieved 61% A* - C grade. There were outstanding achievements at A*/A in a number of subjects. 36% of all entries were at A* to B grade. We will publish more detail about the successes at the school.

The Head and Staff would like to thank the parents for their support during the first five years of the schools existence. They are proud that this founding group of students have done so well and wish them well as they progress successfully to the next stage of their education.
